This page explains what data mikelcarpio.com processes, why, and what you can do about it. Controller: Mikel Carpio García. Contact: hola@mikelcarpio.com.

In short

• I count visits without cookies and without storing anything in your browser. I cannot tell who you are or recognise you from one day to the next.
• If you write to me through the form, I use your email and your message only to reply.
• I do not sell data, there are no ads, and nothing is shared with third parties for their own purposes.

1. Website visits

What I measure: the page you visit, the site you came from (only its domain, e.g. "linkedin.com"), your browser language, the type of system (Windows, Android…), your country, how far down the sections you scroll, whether the 3D diorama works on your device and roughly how smoothly, clicks on some buttons (navigation, sound, language and LinkedIn), whether sending the form succeeds or fails, and technical errors on the page. I never measure what you type into the form.

How, without identifying you:

• No cookies are used and the measurement stores nothing in your browser.
• To count unique visitors, the server computes a one-way hash of your IP address, your browser and a secret key that changes every day and is never stored.
• The IP address is not stored. The next day your visit can no longer be linked to the previous one.

Why: to know how many people visit the site, where they come from, which parts get read, and whether the 3D diorama runs well on visitors' devices.

Legal basis: my legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), with as little data as possible. You can object by emailing me.

How long: 12 months at most. After that it is deleted automatically.

Apart from the measurement, the site only stores in your browser (in localStorage) whether you turned the sound on or off, to remember it on your next visit. That value never leaves your device.

2. If you write to me

The contact form sends me your email address and your message by email. I use them only to reply and do not share them with anyone. To prevent spam, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is sending the form; to do so, Cloudflare processes technical data about your connection and browser under its own policy.

3. Where the data is and who processes it

• Visit measurement is stored on my own server in Spain.
• The site, the form and incoming measurement data go through Cloudflare, which protects and delivers the traffic as a processor. Cloudflare may process technical connection data, including IP addresses, in other countries, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Its policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

4. Your rights

You can ask me to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to or port your data by emailing hola@mikelcarpio.com. Since the measurement does not know who you are, I cannot find your specific visits; I can delete any messages you have sent me.

If you think I am not handling your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, aepd.es) or to the authority in your country.

5. Changes

If I change this policy, I will update this page. If I ever offer measurement that remembers your visits, it will only be enabled if you accept it in a cookie notice.
